Styling
The Bondi Girl motif brings a strong point of interest to the vest, giving it a clear, recognizable look.
It works naturally with jeans or casual trousers. Wear it on its own or layer it over a fine long sleeve top—something simple like a white or neutral base works well underneath.
It’s an easy piece to put on and wear without needing to think too much about the rest of the outfit.
Other Colours in the range
Rowan Big Wool is available in a wide range of shades, from soft neutrals to more defined, saturated tones. The palette includes colours such as Coconut, China Blue, Clay, Driftwood, Navy, Forest, Metallic Grey, Grass, Raspberry and Mustard.

The SarahMo Bondi Girl Vest moves your SarahMo Knitting Journey into garment-making, introducing shaping, finishing and full garment construction in a clear and structured way.
Inspired by the easy, relaxed feel of Bondi, this V-neck vest is designed for knitters who are comfortable with the basics and ready to develop their skills through a more detailed project.
Worked in super bulky yarn, the vest grows quickly on the needles without overcomplicating the process. It can be worked either flat or in the round to the armholes, with the upper sections completed flat.
Shaped decreases create the armholes and V-neckline, while ribbed bands give the vest a clean, defined finish. The Bondi Girl motif is added afterwards using duplicate stitch, allowing you to focus on the garment construction before adding the design detail.
Download this intermediate knitting pattern, follow along with the companion video tutorial, and continue your SarahMo Knitting Journey.
Skill Level
Intermediate - Level 6
Introduces garment construction, armhole and V-neck shaping, picking up stitches, ribbed finishing bands, duplicate stitch and seaming techniques.
Construction
The SarahMo Bondi Girl Vest is worked either flat or in the round to the armholes, with the upper front and back sections completed flat.
Shaped decreases are worked to form the armholes and V-neckline.
The shoulder seams are joined using horizontal mattress stitch. If the vest is worked flat, the side seams are joined using vertical mattress stitch.
Stitches are picked up around the neckline and armholes, and the ribbed bands are knitted in the round. The bands can be worked in the main colour or a contrasting colour.
The Bondi Girl motif is added after the vest has been knitted using duplicate stitch.
